Introduction

After a number of years of spinning and raising fiber animals, Eclectic Acres LLC was born in 2016. What started innocently enough as a desire to learn to knit soon led to a realization that the standard readily available commercial yarn was mostly made out of plastic. A desire to use natural fibers soon led to owning fiber animals. I started small, with a single English Angora rabbit. Soon, I acquired 2 angora goats, followed by a few sheep. Eventually, I added some alpacas to the mix as well. Ultimately, I realized that my heart truly belonged to sheep, so my husband and I now concentrate on raising and breeding purebred Shetland Sheep on our small NE Ohio farm.
